Spirit: The Debut Album

Leona Lewis finally came up with her debut album last 2007. The much anticipated debut album, Spirit did not really give justice to the long wait. The fact that she evidently has a fondness for Whitney Houston’s vocal style and curlicues. She’s stuck in between a half baked musical collaboration and overstuffed balladry. She has a powerful voice abut the entire album did not give much justice to her talent. It almost sounded like the songs you usually hear in groceries and salons. The entire album sounded just like any other ordinary albums that pop out in music shops. There was no “new factor” as what i have expected from all the hype they’ve spurred about this album.
